Chili Pepper Racing Still in Touring Car Championship Points Hunt After Round Three Crash Results in DNF.

The Chili Pepper Racing No. 24 TC Thompson Chilidren’s Hospital/Remote Area Medical/Trenton Forging BMW 325 ci suffered significant damage in a collision early in Round 3 at the Road Atlanta Grand Prix. The two car collision in turn one resulted in damage to the rear suspension making it impossible for the No. 24 car to continue. “ We were all very disappointed” said Osborn, “the car was very well prepared. After qualifying, we made some suspension changes and Stu (Hayner) reviewing the data and in-car camera, made a few suggestions that were really helpful. Unfortunately we got tangled with one of the competitors in turn 1 and were out of the race.”

Despite not finishing the race, the Chili Pepper Race team is still ranked 13th in the Touring Car Championship points and had a successful and exciting weekend with the children and families of The Lighthouse Family Retreat. “We are looking forward to Round 4 where they will be visiting the Columbus Children’s Hospital on the way to Mid-Ohio,” finishes Osborn.
