Ooltewah, TN-The SEMA Show is the premier automotive specialty products trade event in the world. As part of SEMA’s Industry Trends & Forecasts educational seminars Chili Pepper Racing’s Jim Osborn will serve as a panelist for the “Fueling the Green Movement” session November 3rd at 8:30-10am. The session will focus on the new frontier of environmentally friendly hot rodders and socially conscious enthusiasts demanding custom automotive products. This new market of tech savvy enthusiasts and customers is propelling the need for alternative parts, high performance conversions and solutions to the evolution of transportation. Zach Krelle, the session moderator, and the panel of distinguished professionals will discuss the challenges and opportunities facing the specialty equipment industry and how to approach this burgeoning market. The post session industry roundtable will discuss current market conditions and provide information you may need in the future.
In 2007, Chili Pepper Racing changed the face of motorsports when they became the first team in the USA to campaign a production based diesel sedan in a professional series, the SPEED World Challenge Series. The Spice red Mk V Volkswagen Jetta TDI was fueled with Bio-diesel making it the World’s First Bio-diesel powered Touring Car and earned Chili Pepper Racing recognition as an “Engine of Change” by the Red Bulletin during the 2007 Fuji Grand Prix. In 2008 the Chili Pepper Racing VW TDI once again made history racing a compound turbo system the team developed with Garrett Turbo/Honeywell.
